I always wondered why the game was named after princess zelda when the main character is in fact is Link. If you know please post in the reason!

Hmm... good question. When I first got Legend of Zelda I thought Link was Zelda, until I read the manual and saw that he wasn't. But then again, "The Legend" of "Zelda".. the games are telling the story her which is supposed to a legend.

Yeah same here... but I only found out that the main character was Link after I beat about two of the Legend of Zelda game... lol, slow learner.... well actually my friend told me after I beat two of the games lol... Man game only has few parts that have something to do with Zelda, I wonder why.... but it keeps confusing me... They should change it to Legend of Link or something because he is the main character...

Is she even in all the games?? Is Zelda in windwaker at all?

I don't know, I guess, she is a least in some part of it... in the links awakening, she was only in one part of it... and same for most them.

Man we are going off subject.... this is too confusing... probably only the maker of the game has a reason to put the title like that, but maybe he/she should explain...

The reasoning is basically that link is almost an incidental. Hero of time and all that, sure, but it's always been Zelda who held the real power of the Triforce.

So though it is indeed Link's legend as well, it's about her because when she was in danger, the rest of the world was.

It's about the same as the Trojan war being all about the Greeks.

It's what I figure.

Another point to it...Link never started any adventures on his own. They were all because of something happening to Zelda.
